Wissink’s images reflect a love of the arts

(LE MARS) A love of the arts has become a full time career for Aleisha Wissink.

Wissink is a photographer at Lasting Image Photography in Le Mars. She says that photography is something that has always interested her.

Aleisha’s love for anything to do with the arts grew as she did, and she decided that the best way to do it as a livelihood was either to become a photographer or a music teacher. Armed with her bachelors degree in art with an emphasis in photography, Aleisha moved to Le Mars to be with her husband, and has been working at Lasting Image for just over a year.

Professionally she focuses on portrait photography, specifically children. Aleisha says that no matter what she’s working on, she holds herself to a very high standard.

Aleisha enjoys more than just portrait photography, she likes to shoot everything and anything. She did say that getting a picture of something that has a memory attached to it can be extra special. For example…

She shared an example of that kind of work in which she took a picture of a corn field where she and her husband went star gazing.
