Marlene Philips, 80, of Akron, Iowa passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Akron Care Center in Akron.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church – Preston Township, rural Akron, Iowa. Minister Joel Nye will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be after 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015, with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron.
