Wendell Borchers, 86, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September
18, 2016 at his home in Le Mars.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2016 at St. John’s
Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Le Mars, Iowa. Rev. Dr. Jean Ziettlow and Rev. Lil
Johnston will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery –
Preston Township, rural Akron, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be
after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.,
all at Rexwinkel-Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation will resume from
10:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the church. Expressions of sympathy
