John Anthony Van Dam, 74 years old, of Remsen, IA, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen.
Memorial mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy officiating and Deacon Rick Roder assisting. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen. Graveside military honors will be conducted by Post 220 American Legion and Post 3328 VFW of Remsen. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.
