Mrs. Gertrude Hoekstra, age 91, of Maurice, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Unity Point-Health in Sioux City. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, January 24th at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Orange City. The Rev. Donald Daumer will officiate. Internment will be prior to the service at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural Ireton. There will be a prayer service on Tuesday, at 9:30 a.m. at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Ireton. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.
