(Le Mars)- Two strangers, a man and a woman, get on a train in San Francisco at 4:30 in the morning and don’t exit for 90 minutes. Where are they headed? What do they talk about? Is it possible they fall in love? The answers will unfold starting this weekend at the Le Mars Community Theaters production of “2 Across,” by Jerry Meyer.
Jill Young and Joe Ouradnik star in this witty comedy with a simple set, no scene changes and no intermission. Richard Buman is directing the show, and his attention to detail has been taken to a new level for “2 Across” when it comes to the sound effects that make you feel like you’re on a train.
Buman said he did have loop a bit of the train sound to make it fit the show exactly.
“2 Across” opens this weekend at the Le Mars Community Theater Postal Playhouse and runs through April 30th. Tickets are still available by visiting the website or calling the box office at 546-5788, Mon-Fri from 11am-2pm. Showtimes are 7:30 with a 2pm matinee on Sundays.
