Donald R. Hoogeveen, 81, of Le Mars passed away peacefully on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen, Iowa after a long-time battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Rejoice! Community Church in Le Mars. Rev. Ray Tilstra, Rev. John Tilstra, Rev. Howard Soehl and Rev. Mike Metten will officiate. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. The family will be present to greet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral service on Friday.
