Virgil C. Plathe, 89 of Alton, Iowa died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 at Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City, IA.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton with Father Daniel Greving officiating and Deacon Dan Goebel assisting. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton. Graveside military honors will be conducted by American Legion Floyd Post 200 of Alton. Visitation with family present will be from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, there will be a rosary and a vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. all at the church in Alton. Visitation will resume Monday
