Many People Selected Holiday Goodies At Floyd Valley Auxiliary Goodie Sale

(Le Mars) — Shortly after the start of the Floyd Valley Healthcare Auxiliary Goodie Sale held Tuesday afternoon, people had gathered at the hospital conference rooms, and quickly picked over the variety of cookies, candies, nuts, baked goods, and other holiday snacks.  Within the first hour, many of the holiday treats were purchased leaving late comers with a limited selection to choose from.  The proceeds from the holiday goodie sale will go to help Floyd Valley Healthcare in purchasing “smart IV pumps.”  Officials are still calculating how much money was earned through the sale, but organizer Ruth Farley says the hospital auxiliary members were quite pleased with the sale.  Farley says the hospital gift shop also sold more than $2,000 worth of items during the afternoon during the same time of the goodie sale.  Several people also took the opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee along with a homemade piece of pie, and engaged in fellowship conversation with those that attended the goodie sale.
