(Le Mars) — Northwest Bank officials have made the decision to close their branch bank offices located at 1321 Hawkeye Avenue or Business Highway 75 in Le Mars. The branch office last day of operation will be Saturday, May 9th.
After that date, all financial transactions will be conducted at the
Northwest main bank located in downtown Le Mars at 111 Central Avenue N.W.

Following the closure of the drive through branch bank, all financial business will occur at the downtown bank.

Eekhoff says the downtown bank will have a major renovation and upgrades.

Eekhoff says those employees located at the branch bank office will be transferred to the downtown bank.

Eekhoff says letters were sent to bank customers about the change on Wednesday, February 5th. He talks about what led to the decision to close the branch bank offices.

An additional change for the main bank located within downtown will be the installation of a drive-up ATM machine.
This will allow for easier, more convenient access and allow our
customers the ability to complete their ATM transactions from their vehicle.
The new ATM will provide enhancements such as the ability to accept cash deposits. Also, beginning May 11th, the bank hours at the downtown location will be extended to include Saturday drive-up hours from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
