The IGHSAU released their preseason softball poll Monday.  The Gehlen Catholic girls were rated 11th in the Class 1A ratings, just ahead of No. 12 Akron-Westfield.  They were the only Plymouth County teams to crack the rankings.  Gehlen returns several members of a State Tournament qualifying team in 2019 that finished 21-11.

High school softball and baseball teams can begin practice sessions June 1st in Iowa, ending a nearly three month hiatus from sports for Le Mars Community and Gehlen Catholic.  The first games will be Monday, June 15th.

The Le Mars Bulldogs held their first baseball workout Monday afternoon in summer-like heat.
