Le Mars Sees First Snow Of The Season

(Le Mars) — At about the time people were leaving their homes to go to work, snowflakes began to fall on Le Mars.  Snowflakes were first noticed at about 7:45 a.m. Monday morning. The snow isn’t expected to accumulate, and it appears to only get the sidewalks wet.  Snow could be seen on the roofs of vehicles that were outside, as well as some leaves.  The weather forecast is calling for a possibility of rain and snow mix for Monday morning, with rain to fall on Monday afternoon.  The chances for precipitation is set at 40 percent. Several reports of measurable snow had occurred in many parts of southern Iowa on Sunday.
