The Scheitler Home: West on Highway 3

(Le Mars) -- What does 15 years of experience, hours and hours of work, 37 years of display collecting, 25 outlets, 25 timers. 55 trees and 50-60 THOUSAND lights equal?  An amazing display on Highway 3.  The Rob Scheitler home, located 7 miles west of Le Mars on Hwy 3, is full of all the wonder and awe that only the holidays can bring.
Rob starts working in August on getting the lights ready to go and the takes a week off of work in October to make sure he'll get the wonderland ready.  He has been doing this for 15 years, but got a big boost this year to the number of lights, and I'm sure the electric bill.  Scheitler said that he got a light display collection from a man in Correctionville who decided to retire from holiday yard decorating at 85 years old.  He had been collecting for 37 years, and his display now doubled the light at the Scheitler's.
While Rob takes care of the outside, he says his wife and daughter completely deck the inside as well, and are more than happy to share their holiday cheer with you inside and out, if you care to stop by.

The lights and music are ready to be seen and heard now through New Years from 5pm to 10pm everynight. Again the Scheitler home is located 7 miles west of Le Mars on Highway 3, left on Imapala.  Just keep an eye out for the blazing display on the left hand side of the road.
