Esther M. Swanson, 97, of Akron passed away Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Akron Care Center in Akron, Iowa. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa with Reverend Dawn Quame officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Visitations will be after 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Carlsen Funeral Home, Schroeder Chapel in Akron with the family present to greet friends after 5:00 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service. Visitations will continue Tuesday at the church from noon until service time. Arrangements are with the Carlsen Funeral Home, Schroeder Chapel of Akron. Jordon A. Strang, 29, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. to greet friends. Wyona Zachow, 86, of Aberdeen, South Dakota, formerly of Richland, South Dakota passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at Red Rose Care Home in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
