Genevieve  Grau, 87, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Floyd Valley Hospital in    Le Mars.  Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars with Reverend Timothy Geitz officiating.  Interment will be at the Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery, rural Le Mars.  Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars followed by a 7:00 p.m. prayer service.  Visitation will continue Monday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.  Expression of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Kelby Klein, 21, of Le Mars died in an auto accident in rural Grundy County, Iowa on in the early morning hours on Tuesday, April 30, 2013.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars with Father Paul Eisele of St. James Catholic Church officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Visitation will continue Saturday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com. 

Virgil Smith, 85, of Akron, Iowa passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Akron Care Center in Akron.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron.  Reverend Tanya Sherrill will officiate.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Akron with military rites conducted by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron.  Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2013, with the family present after 5:00 p.m., and a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Patricia "Pat" A. (Morehead) Petersen, 79, of Washington, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Washington County Hospital.
