Reid Gearke, 17, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 29, 2013 at his home in Le Mars.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  Reverend Paul Eisele will celebrate.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, with a Parish Rosary at 5:00 p.m., and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  The Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com. 

James  W.  “Jim”  Arens, Sr., 79, of Le Mars passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Brentwood Good Samaritan Society in Le Mars.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars with Father Kevin Richter officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars followed by a 7:00 p.m. Scriptural Wake Service at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Wednesday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.  Expression of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com. 

Melvin J. Gengler, 57 years old, of Remsen, IA died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his home in Remsen, IA.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy and Deacon Rick Roder officiating. Burial will be in the St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery in Oyens. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013. Shea, 61, of Le Mars passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  Father Kevin Richter will celebrate Mass.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  A Rosary Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. with a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Tuesday.  The Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars is assisting Steve’s family with arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com
