Melvin J. Gengler, 57 years old, of Remsen, IA died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his home in Remsen, IA.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy and Deacon Rick Roder officiating. Burial will be in the St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery in Oyens. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013. Steven A. Shea, 61, of Le Mars passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.  Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  Father Kevin Richter will celebrate Mass.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.  A Rosary Service will take place at 4:00 p.m. with a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Tuesday.  The Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars is assisting Steve’s family with arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com

Hilda V. Beamer, 98, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Heartland Care Center in Marcus, Iowa.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Le Mars Bible Church.  Pastor Fred Gums will officiate.  Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  The family will be present from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday.
