Ervin Ommen, 84, of Ceylon, Minnesota, formerly of Akron, Iowa passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Minnesota Veteran’s Home in Luverne, Minnesota.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon, Minnesota.  Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Craig, Iowa. Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 15, 2010, with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon, Minnesota. George Frerichs, 78, of LeMars, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Wednesday August 11 at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.  Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Le Mars, Iowa.  Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars with Military Honors provided by Wasmer Post #241 of the American Legion. Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 5-8 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral. Mary Lucille Wells, 93, of Le Mars passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Park Place Estates in Le Mars. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery-Neptune, rural Hinton, Iowa. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars with a 4:00 p.m. Catholic Daughters of America Rosary. The family will be present until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Carlsen Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Richard G. “Dick” Held, 58, of rural Hinton, Iowa passed away unexpectedly at his home near Hinton, Iowa on Monday, August 09, 2010.
