Industry incentives move forward

(Des Moines)--Incentives for a business that may start up operations in Le Mars are being backed by a state board.

The Iowa Economic Development Board today (Wednesday) considered the direct financial assistance and tax benefits for North American Co-Pack Iowa. The Le Mars City Council submitted an application from the city on behalf of the potential new industry.

The firm may open a meat processing facility in Le Mars. The operation would be at an existing facility.

North American Co-Pack Iowa is considering a facility to focus on sliced meats and other ready-to-eat food processing.
