Breaking New Ground

(LE MARS)–ICON Ag Solutions Monday announced details of the new Le Mars location in southwest Le Mars on Key Avenue.

Construction at the Le Mars site for ICON Ag, a John Deere Sales and service business with five northwest Iowa locations, will begin this month.  Completion of the project is targeted to December of this year. The Le Mars location will initially employ 16 people with plans to expand the sales, service and parts departments in the future. ICON expects to add eight more positions after the opening of the new location. The area is west of the Highway 75 bypass

General manager Adam Timmerman, in a news release, said ICON is very excited about the building project. Timmerman describes Le Mars as a great place for one of the ICON locations because of its great stability and support.

According to Timmerman, the new location will provide ICON’s Le Mars location with an expanded showroom, a much larger lot for equipment and an overhead hoist to aid in the repair and set up of equipment in the shop.

ICON Ag Solutions will add bulk oil systems for customer convenience.

Breanne Harms , territory manager for John Deere says ICON Ag Solutions steps to continue to grow the business’s presence in Le Mars are a testament to their commitment to their customers in Plymouth County and the surrounding counties. Harms said customers are going to notice a marked improvement in ICON’s ability to serve their customers.

ICON was formed in 2007 with locations in Ireton, Paullina and Doon. The Le Mars and Lawton locations were added in 2008,
