James “Jim” Richters, 66, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa formerly of Akron, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at his daughter’s home in Sergeant Bluff. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Akron, Iowa. Pastor Mike Avery will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron, Iowa.
