Edward W. Marienau, 83, of Merrill, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars, Iowa. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill with military honors provided by Olson – Halweg American Legion Post #125 of Merrill. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. to greet friends with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation on Friday prior to the funeral.
