(LE MARS)–At least three bridal shows or fairs this month will help Siouxland couples plan for their walk down the aisle.
The Le Mars Bridal Expo is at the Willow Creek Golf Course from 11 this morning to three this afternoon.
“Celebrate the Day,” a bridal and prom show, is also today at Living Water Community Center in Orange City from 10 this morning to two this afternoon. The fashion show is set for noon.
A Powell Broadcasting sister station, the new 102.3 FM, presents a Bridal Fair next Sunday, January 30, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Marina Center in South Sioux City. For more information click on Bridal Fair at www.new1023.com
The number of marriage licenses the Plymouth County Recorder’s office issues varies. Last year there were about 150 marriage licenses.
Recorder Jolynn Goodchild says the couple will need someone who knows them to come to the Recorder’s office with them to apply for the license. They’ll need some identification.

Licenses issued in one Iowa County may be used in another county in the state.

The license is issued after three business days. For example, if the couple applies on a Monday the license is read to be issued on Thursday. The cost is 35 dollars and includes one certified marriage record. An additional copy will cost $15.
