Vitalena “Vitty” Marie (Thommes) Penning, 85 years old, of Granville, IA, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Sanford Medical Center in Sheldon, IA. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville with Rev. Richard Ball officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Granville. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m., and vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville.
