(LeMars) — ICON Ag and Turf, a local farm equipment dealer, held a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open a new facility located west of LeMars.
Adam Timmerman, principle owner of ICON says the new located was needed to better accomodate the customer.

The local John Deere dealer employs 19 people at its LeMars location and a total of 95 people are a part of ICON. Timmerman says additional employees have been added and he believes more hiring will be needed.

The general economy may be down, but the farm economy, with high commodity prices and increased land values, has been doing well. Timmerman says it is gratifying to see farmers have an interest in purchasing equipment, and that has helped his business.
