(LE MARS) — Mexican food fast and at a fair price with the warmth of family ownership,
that’s the new Monterrey on business highway 75 in LeMars. Jesus Aguilar is the co-owner
of the restaurant along with his brother Javier and brother-in-law, Marcelino Iggardo.
The brothers just opened their doors on Saturday, but they have experience as the group
is also in charge of the Monterrey in Cherokee. Jesus’ family has been in the
restaurant business his entire life. His immediate family, including his wife and 3
sons, are excited to not only be a part of the business, but also be a part of the
community.

All recipes on the menu are family recipes, Jesus says there are a couple of house
favorites.

Monterrey salad includes beef chicken and shrimp in a taco shell over a bed of rice and
lettuce, with other veggies. The Monterrey Pollo is Jesus’ favorite.

And cheese sauce, don’t foget the cheese sauce.
The diverse menu also includes chicken wings and burgers as well as beer and margaritas.
Monterrey is located in the former Pizza Hut building on 75 across from Mr. P’s.
