(LE MARS) The Le Mars Family Pharmacy is back and so is Tom Ryan. After a year of
planning, the doors have been officially open a week now in the location just off
Plymouth Street next to Fareway. Ryan says his Le Mars pharmacy history dates back to
the 80’s when he purchased Mount Drug Company downtown.

In 1988 his family built the current facility and it ran independently until it was
bought by HyVee in 2004. Three years after the purchase, the pharmacy was moved to
Hy-Vee’s grocery facility. After time working as a pharmacist in the Dakota Dunes, Ryan
decided he wanted to come back and re-open The Family Pharmacy as the refreshed Le Mars
Family Pharmacy. Ryan says he’s excited to be back so he can take care of people. Not
just his customers, but his employees as well.

living aids. Hours are 8 to 6 Monday through Friday, 8-1 on Saturday. Future plans
include some type of gift or specialty shop to share the space.
