(ALTON) — A benefit is being help on September 24th for a Hospers man with Le
Mars ties. Dennis Hofmeyer, better known as “Perp,” worked for Beelers Naturally Pure
Pork in Brunsville. Beelers eventually was outsourced to operate with the Nor-Am
facility in Le Mars, where Perp worked for many years.
In February of 2010 Perp went to the hospital with a bad leg. His daughter in-law Marie
Hofmeyer explains what happened after that.

He woke up in the Omaha hospital, and for 8 months after that he was in and out of
hospitals with different therapies and treatment. Perp finally got home to Hospers in
October of 2010.
Marie says the Golf Outing and Free Will Supper and Auction is being held to help the
Hofmeyers get into a home where Perp can have a better life.
