(LeMars) — A new frisbee golf course located on the west side of town near the Floyd Park celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday. The course was designed by Ben Sitzman and like regular golf, the course features 18 holes. Much like regular golf when different clubs are used depending upon the distance from the hole, such is the case with frisbee golf…different disks are used depending upon the situation and distance from the hole.

Sitzman says frisbee golf is gaining in popularity, and the course is ready for its first tournament to be held this Sunday. Sitzman anticipates up to 60 competitors will be playing frisbee golf at that tournament.
