Hundreds Participate in Start Somewhere Walk

(LeMars) — Thousands of Iowans, and hundreds of LeMars residents took a brief walk today at noon.

At the Olson Cultural Events Center approximately 75 people strolled downtown. It’s all part of the “Start Somewhere Walk” as part of Governor Terry Brandstad’s goal to make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation. Walkers strolled about a half a mile.  Kevin Eekhoff of the First National Bank of LeMars was one of the many walkers to participate.  He has decided to join today’s walk to help with the state’s goal.
