(Orange City) — The revitalized Hawkeye Center in downtown Orange City has a new tenant. Evie’s Hallmark opened their doors last week after nearly two years of working on a plan to move into town. Owner Evie Kats says that they have been welcomed with open arms.

Evie’s other stores can be found in Sheldon, Sioux Center, Spencer and Gordon Plaza and Hamilton Boulevard in Sioux City. You’ll find everything at the Orange City Hallmark that you would expect from the Hallmark brand.

In addition to the retail store, there is additional space within that will bring a new coffee shop to Orange City’s Central Avenue.

She said they hope to have the coffee shop open by December 1st in time to warm up holiday shoppers.The new Evie’s Hallmark is located in Orange City’s Hawkeye Center. The historic Hawkeye center burned down in a fire in 2008 and it’s “re-birth” is phase one of Orange City’s Phoenix Project. The mixed use downtown space features ground level retail and second floor condos.
