(Le Mars) — Five members of the Le Mars Community faculty and staff were honored Friday afternoon during a reception held in their honor. Teachers, staff, and administration officials gathered at the Le Mars Community High School cafeteria for refreshments, and for the opportunity to say good bye. For some, saying good bye would be until they gather again next autumn for the start of the 2014-2015 school year. For others, saying good bye would be for the last time within the Le Mars Community School District as a few teachers have chosen to transfer to either another teaching position, or to move on to another business. Each of the retirees received a crystal apple from the school. Those with ten years or more tenure were also presented a plaque with a bell attached. Retiring from the Le Mars Community School include : Barb Johnson, Pam Reeves, Marleen Schipper, Anna Chenoweth, and Bob Connor.
