William “Bill” Meinen, 97, of Akron, Iowa passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at the Akron Care Center in Akron.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Akron. Reverend Craig Collison and Deacon Richard Port will officiate. Burial with military honors conducted by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Akron. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014, with the family present after 5:30 p.m., and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Parish Rosary, all at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron.
