Even though political analysts believe the election between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton will be a close race, Schindler says that was not the case with the Gehlen students. He says with the Gehlen straw poll, each of the republican candidates won by a large margin.

Schindler points out that Gary Johnson is the Libertarian party candidate, while
Jill Stine serves as the Green party candidate. Schindler offers his own political commentary on the outcome of the Gehlen students votes.

The Gehlen Catholic government teacher says in each of the three political races, the Democratic candidates…Hillary Clinton for president, Patty Judge for U-S Senate, and Kim Weaver for the 4th District Congressional race, all received 17 votes. Schindler believes the same 17 people may have voted the
same in each ballot.
