Floyd Valley Healthcare Named As Top 100 Hospital

(Le Mars) — Once again, Floyd Valley Healthcare of Le Mars has been honored as a top hospital. Floyd Valley announced it has been named a 2020 Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by The Chartis Center for Rural Health. This annual award honoring rural hospital performance is determined by the results of iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength Index, which is
celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2020.  Floyd Valley Healthcare, C-E-O, Dustin Wright says it is a great honor for Floyd Valley to receive the recognition.

Wright says there were several metrics used to determine Floyd Valley to be a top 100 hospital.

The Floyd Valley C-E-O says the Le Mars hospital has received this same honor in past years, beginning in 2016. He says the recognition and honor will mean good things for Floyd Valley Healthcare for the future.

Wright says being named as a top 100 hospital was a review of all areas within the hospital.

Wright believes the national recognition will benefit Floyd Valley with recruitment of health professionals, saying those individuals pursuing a health-related career may take a longer look at Le Mars and Floyd Valley.
He says it will also help with other businesses located within Le Mars.

Floyd Valley Healthcare is fortunate, not only for the recent accolades, but the fact the local hospital is doing well financially, while many hospitals across the state are struggling. Wright credits the team of professionals located at Floyd Valley Healthcare.

2020 marks the sixth time Floyd Valley Healthcare has received the honor of being named a Top 100 Critical Access Rural Hospital.
