MOC Floyd Valley School Conducts Ground Breaking For New Elementary Building

Several M-OC Floyd Valley Elementary Students Participate With The Ground Breaking Ceremony Held Wednesday For A New Elementary School Building

(Orange City) — M-O-C Floyd Valley school district of Orange City held ground breaking ceremonies Wednesday morning for a new elementary school. M-O-C Floyd Valley school superintendent Russ Adams says the new elementary building will be located between Alton and Orange City.

Adams says the need for a new elementary school building came about as a result of a consultant’s survey study.

Although the official ground breaking ceremony was Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. Adams says earth-moving construction has already begun on the project.

The MOC-Floyd Valley school superintendent says the plan is to combine the two existing elementary schools at Orange City and Hospers into the new facility.

Adams says the new elementary facility will be equipped with the latest in technology advancements allowing students to utilize the internet as part of their studies.
