(Le Mars) — Thousands of people converged on Le Mars during the weekend for the start of the Register’s Annual Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI). It is difficult to determine an exact number of bicycle riders, support staff, vendors, and local residents that were gathered at the downtown Expo area on Central Avenue and the Olson Cultural Events Center. However, the Le Mars Fire and Rescue Department took photos high above the activities utilizing their drone aircraft to illustrate the masses of people at downtown and at the Plymouth County Fairgrounds.
