Kingsley-Pierson Football Returns Loads of Experience for 2021 Season

Kingsley-Pierson’s 2020 football season was a roller-coaster ride of wins and losses as the Panthers finished out the year 4-5. However, like most of the eight-player programs in this part of the state, they had to contend with the state champs from Remsen St. Mary’s in their district and another top ten team in Newell-Fonda in the playoffs.

That compounded with Kingsley-Pierson’s youth led to the Panthers struggling to get past the .500 mark most of the year last year. Kingsley-Pierson Head Coach, Geoff Olson, says that this year’s team is in a better spot when it comes to their level of experience.

That level of experience that the Panthers bring back has allowed Coach Olson and his staff to get going much quicker in practice than they normally would.

Kingsley-Pierson sported an offense last year that averaged 288 yards of total offense per game and 185 yards per game on the ground. That speed that Coach Olson saw last year will be a strength of this year’s team both on offense and defense.

Coach Olson says that his Panther team just needs to iron out a handful of things before they match up with G-T/R-A next Friday.

The Panthers open up the season at home against G-T/R-A in a non-district contest at 7:00 PM.
