Le Mars Dominates In Win Over Denison-Schleswig

Le Mars jumped out in front early in Friday’s 42-14 win over Denison-Schleswig at home.

The Bulldogs jumped out in front early and did not let up the rest of the way. Le Mars led 34-0 after the first half and rode that to a win. Le Mars finished with 367 yards of offense when all was said and done. Head Coach Ken Vigdal says that his offensive line deserve all the praise.

Le Mars carried a lot of momentum into this week despite losing to Webster City in the previous game. Coach Vigdal says that their performance against the Lynx led to a large amount of confidence against the Monarchs.

Defensively, Le Mars pitched a shutout in the first half and did not allow a point until 9:33 left to go in the third quarter. Coach Vigdal says that the Monarchs did see a few big plays in the first half. He also says that his defense did not let those big plays get to them.

The Bulldogs have a tough road test this week as they match up with Spencer. Le Mars currently sits tied for second in the district with the Tigers and are four spots out of the playoffs in the RPI rankings. This is a big week for the Bulldogs, and Coach Vigdal knows that, with Spencer’s offense, this week has to be more mental than physical for his team to have success.

Kickoff from Spencer is at 7:00 PM tomorrow night. You can catch all the action on KLEM Radio and the KLEM Radio YouTube Channel tomorrow night starting at 6:15 PM.
