(Le Mars) — On Tuesday, contractors were able to put the “cherry on top of the ice cream sundae”, thus completing the newly constructed welcome sign located on Central Avenue in downtown Le Mars. The welcome sign is illuminated at night. The idea to have a downtown welcome sign was the brainchild of Mike and Cheryl Wells, as part of the “Destination Le Mars” tourism program.
