(Le Mars) — A check for the amount of $43,393 was presented by the Knights of Columbus to representatives and clients of Life Skills Training Center on Sunday afternoon, just prior to the KC’s broasted pork chop feed. Phone-a-thon chairman Justin Freking says the amount was slightly less than the goal. The total amount pledged exceeded $53,000 but ten percent of the net proceeds are contributed to the Iowa Special Olympics.
