KLEM is proud to welcome John Slegers as our new news director. John hails from Alton and has worked in radio news since 1980.
Most of his previous experience was in Sioux County at KDCR where he started as a student announcer at Dordt College, now Dordt University.
He has also worked at KSOU in Sioux Center.
John has covered news, sports, weather and public affairs and fine arts programs during his career.
John says versatility is his stock and trade in this area.
John and his wife Sheryl live in Alton, and she is a kindergarten teacher in Orange City.
