On Tuesday, May 17, 2022 Floyd Valley Healthcare hosted an area ambulance personnel appreciation dinner, in conjunction with National Emergency Services Week (May 15-21), to express appreciation to the E.M.S.’s for their role in enhancing health care in their communities and to provide an opportunity for an information exchange. Ambulance personnel from Akron, Hinton, Kingsley, Le Mars, Marcus, Merrill and Remsen; as well as area law enforcement, hospital administration and medical staff were in attendance.
The 2022 EMS Week theme: “EMS: Rising to the Challenge.” This theme is particularly meaningful now, to remind people that every day we are faced with so many new challenges in our lives and yet we still rise above them all and continue to respond, support, and care for the needs of our communities.
