Roger P. Reinking, 83 of Kingsley, passed away, Friday, December 30, 2022 at Kingsley Specialty Care in Kingsley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Salem Lutheran Church, rural Correctionville, IA with Pastor Jody Still Herbold officiating. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetery, Kingsley, IA. Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 5:00 — 7:00 p.m. with the family present during this time followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. all at the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, IA. Roger was was born September 9, 1939 in Kingsley the son of Earl and Leona Reinking. He graduated from Kingsley High School then attended Iowa, he transferred from Iowa State to Morningside College in Sioux City, Ia where he graduated. Following graduation he was a teacher and coach at Union High School which later became Remsen-Union School. He enjoyed sports especially football and basketball. In 1970 he started farming with his father, Earl, which Roger continued until his retirement.
Roger is survived by his wife, Joan, and two sons, Mark (Lisa) Reinking and their children,
Dean (Jessica) Reinking and their children. Also surviving is a sister, Ruth White.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Peggy Lou Wielenberg and brother-in-law, Norbert Wielenberg.
