The first Le Mars Chamber of Commerce “Boss of the Quarter” was presented Thursday to Junior Hoogland, the owner of Cork It in Le Mars. He was surprised with the award at an “After Five” Event. The following is the nomination letter by Wanda Kneip and the Cork It Staff.
Everyone at Cork It would like to honor Junior Hoogland, owner and best customer relations person on staff as the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce 2023 1st Quarter, Boss of the Quarter.
Junior has owned Cork It since 2015 and really became involved with the day-to-day operations here almost two years ago. Junior owns many businesses including Hoogland Dairy, Woudstra Meats and Highland Post, so the fact that he spends so much time for Cork It is unbelievable. Junior is a diligent worker and very committed to trying to make all his businesses succeed.
The Cork It staff loves having him around as he helps out and provides entertainment. The customers also seem to really enjoy coming into Cork It when they know Junior is here and some are disappointed when he is not.
Although the Hoogland’s were not originally planning to own Cork It for a long time, we are glad that they have. No one here could imagine a better and more caring boss than Junior.
For those reasons we choose to honor Junior Hoogland with the Le Mars Area Chamber of Commerce 2023 1st Quarter Boss of the Quarter Award.
