Skov and Brown Highlight Le Mars All-MRAC Girls Basketball Honors

The Missouri River Activities Conference announced their all-conference girls basketball teams for the 2022-2023 season. Le Mars earned a pair of athletes on the first and second teams and a trio picking up honorable mention honors.

Metta Skov earned First Team All-Conference this season while being a top contributor for the Bulldogs. Skov led the Bulldogs and placed fourth in the MRAC in scoring this season. She was very versatile leading the program in rebounds with 123.

Le Mars three-year starter Sarah Brown earned her third All-MRAC honor by being named to the league’s second team. Brown was second in the program in scoring averaging 13.1 points per game. She was a lethal three-point shooter this year finishing third in the MRAC in three-pointers made with 61 of them.

Three Bulldogs were named to the MRAC’s Honorable Mention All-Conference team in Zoe Wittkop, Madi Huls, and Jaelyn Marienau. Wittkop led the team in assists and steals averaging nearly four assists and three steals a game. Huls was a top contributor shooting the basketball finishing second on the team with 34 three-point field goals made. Finally, Marienau was the first off the bench for the Bulldogs being a versatile asset and finishing third on the team with 23 made three-point field goals.
