BACON BUDDIES
There’s a new event at the Plymouth County Fair in Le Mars next week. “Bacon Buddies” is a program where kids with intellectual or developmental disabilities learn how to show a pig. Emma Brennan, a recent graduate of Le Mars Community High School, and a 12 year 4-H member, says the idea came to her from a trip last year to the Iowa State Fair…..
She says the event involves 2 mentors per participant…..
“Bacon Buddies” is meant to be a fun experience for all involved…
The event will take place Thursday evening of the fair, July 27, at 7 p.m. in the livestock arena.
