- – – UPDATE — One person received minor injury in a three-vehicle accident Monday morning in Le Mars. Le Mars Police and Le Mars Fire Rescue were called to 6th Ave and 12th Street SW. A vehicle traveling east on 12th failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection, and struck a southbound pickup. A third vehicle at the intersection received minor damage. The driver of the eastbound vehicle, was taken to Floyd Valley Healthcare with minor injury.

A three-vehicle car accident on Monday sent one to the hospital with injuries. Le Mars Fire Rescue was dispatched to the corner of 12th Street SW and 6th Ave SW around 10:45 AM. after an Apple iPhone triggered a crash detection notification 911 call. Le Mars Fire Rescue Chief Dave Schipper says a white and black Ford Mustang had extensive damage to the front of the vehicle, along with a red Ford F-150 taking damage as well. A third vehicle, a black truck, received minor damage. The details of the accident were unclear at this time, but Le Mars police are investigating.
