George Leo Wittkop, age 91, of Remsen, IA passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen. Memorial mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen, with Rev. Timothy Pick officiating and Deacon Doug Heeren assisting. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation with the family present will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen with a rosary and prayer service at 5 p.m. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
