New Season Underway at The Le Mars Community Theatre

(Le Mars)–Plenty of laughs await you at Postal Playhouse thanks to the The Le Mars Community Theatre in 2024.   They have announced the line-up for their 55th Season, and while each show might not be considered a comedy, each has it’s own brand of humor.
The season kicks off with Larry Shue’s classic 80’s comedy “The Foreigner.”  The cast is set and rehearsals are already in full swing for this March 1 opening.
Next enjoy the over the top comedic stylings that every Jones Hope Wooten script specializes in, with “Red Velvet Cake Wars” coming in May.
“Into the Woods” by composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim is slated to take stage in August.  The musical combines many familiar fairy tales into a jumbled adventure filled with soul searching and lots of life lessons.  But don’t worry, there are plenty of opportunities to laugh out load.
And finally LCT will end the season in October with the dramatic comedy “Becky’s New Car” by Steven Dietz, featuring witty deadpan human and U-Turn plot twists.

If you’d like to become a member with The Le Mars Community Theatre at the Postal Playhouse, doing so will save you money on the season.  A season pass is $50, which gets you a seat for all four shows and a mailer to remind you when it’s time to reserve. (Members get to reserve their preferred seats first.)
Not ready to commit to the year? No problem. Seats are otherwise $20 and reservations open approximately 10 days before opening night.
